Head contractor Anthony Ford has been building houses since 1992, and in 2016 he founded Southern Built in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The company works as a custom home builder across Volusia County, constructing homes on buyers' own lots as well as within its own developments. That dual approach suits the coastal market it serves: some clients arrive with land and plans in mind, others prefer an established setting. Either way, the work runs through a builder whose experience in the region predates the company's name by more than two decades.
